Windows Installation
Install ScreenerBot on Windows using the MSI or EXE installer. Supports Windows 10 and 11 on both x64 and ARM64 architectures.
System Requirements
- Windows 10 or Windows 11 (64-bit)
- x64 or ARM64 processor
- 4 GB RAM minimum (8 GB recommended)
- 350 MB disk space for application
- Visual C++ Redistributable (automatically installed by ScreenerBot)
Step 1: Download
Download Windows Installer
MSI or EXE installer recommended
Choose your preferred installer format:
- MSI Installer: Best for system-wide installation, supports Group Policy
- EXE Installer: Interactive wizard with more options
- •ZIP Archive: For portable/advanced users
Step 2: Install
Installation Steps
Using the MSI/EXE installer
- Run the downloaded
.msior.exeinstaller - If SmartScreen appears, click "More info" → "Run anyway"
- Follow the installation wizard prompts
- Choose installation directory (default:
C:\Program Files\ScreenerBot\) - Complete the installation
- Launch ScreenerBot from the Start Menu or Desktop shortcut
Windows SmartScreen Warning
Windows may show a SmartScreen warning because the app is new. Here's how to proceed:
- Click "More info" in the SmartScreen dialog
- Click "Run anyway"
- Continue with the installation
ScreenerBot is safe but may trigger warnings as it's a newly signed application.
Data Directory
ScreenerBot stores all data in your local app data folder:
%LOCALAPPDATA%\ScreenerBotThis typically resolves to: C:\Users\YourName\AppData\Local\ScreenerBot
To access it: Press Win+R, type %LOCALAPPDATA%\ScreenerBot and press Enter.
Step 3: Verify Installation

Open from the Start Menu or Desktop shortcut. The app window should appear.

Open your browser and navigate to
http://localhost:8080 - 3Complete Setup
Follow the initial setup wizard to configure your wallet and RPC endpoints.
Uninstalling
To uninstall ScreenerBot:
- Open Settings → Apps → Installed apps
- Find "ScreenerBot" in the list
- Click the menu (⋮) → Uninstall
Note: Uninstalling removes the application but keeps your data folder. Delete %LOCALAPPDATA%\ScreenerBot manually to remove all data.
Troubleshooting
"Windows protected your PC" (SmartScreen)
Click "More info" then "Run anyway". This warning appears because ScreenerBot is a new application and Windows hasn't seen it before.
Installation fails with permission error
Right-click the installer and select "Run as administrator". If using the MSI, you can also try: msiexec /i ScreenerBot.msi from an elevated Command Prompt.
App won't start or crashes on launch
Ensure you have the latest Windows updates installed. If the issue persists, try deleting the data folder (%LOCALAPPDATA%\ScreenerBot) and restarting the app.
"vcruntime140.dll was not found" or similar DLL error
The latest version of ScreenerBot automatically installs these dependencies on startup. If auto-install fails, you can download them manually:
